This page covers the billing rules developers need to know before using premium DestinyOracle endpoints.
Developer Billing Model¶
USD Base Currency¶
All ledger transactions and balance metrics are recorded and versioned in USD.
Prepaid Balance Rules¶
- Prepaid Custom Top-Ups: Top up your balance anytime.
- Minimum Top-Up:
$5.00per transaction. - Minimum Premium Starting Balance:
$1.00. - Billing Independence: Developer billing is completely independent from consumer subscriptions.
Prepaid Balance Floor
A minimum balance of $1.00 is required to initiate any premium API operations. If your balance drops below this floor, premium requests will return a basic/static fallback response.
Charging Rules¶
Free / Basic Tier¶
- Free and basic responses remain completely free.
- These requests do not deduct from your prepaid balance.
Premium Charging Rules¶
- Temporary Reservation Before Premium Work: Premium requests reserve a conservative amount before hosted premium execution begins.
- Billing on Success: On success, DestinyOracle settles the reservation to the final charge and automatically releases any unused reserved amount.
- No Charge for Failures: Failed premium requests are not billed.
- Cached Responses: Cached premium responses remain billable.
- Deduction Versioning: Premium deductions record the active
pricing_versionin the ledger.
